Real people.
Real plans.
UpNext is where you keep up with the people you know: what they post, the communities you share and the next thing you’re all going to. Chats are end-to-end encrypted, and every chat can turn into a game.
In beta on iPhone through TestFlight, by invite.

Your people, all in one place.
You follow friends, join communities and choose who can message you. These are real screens from the app, with made-up people.

Communities that plan things
Join or start one for what you’re into. Hosts set the house rules, members start threads, and anyone can plan an event: tap Going, get a reminder the day before, add it to your calendar.

Posts and real conversations
Photos and short videos from the people you follow, with threaded comments, likes, saves and mentions. AI posts carry a label.
In the app today.
Everything here works in the TestFlight build right now.
- Home
- Your lineup: posts from people and communities you follow, your upcoming events and the game turns waiting for you, in one feed.
- Communities and events
- Threads, events with RSVPs and reminders, house rules set by hosts, and joining by invite, request or open door.
- Posts and comments
- Photo and short video posts, threaded replies, likes, saves, pins and mentions. Edit a post in the first few minutes after you share it.
- Encrypted chats with games
- One-to-one and group chats, end-to-end encrypted, with ten games to play in turns: Chess, Checkers, Line Four, Drop Four, Flip Grid, Box Claim, Hidden Fleet, Sudoku Duo, Letter Duel and Word Sprint.
- Activity and search
- Likes, comments, mentions, follows and event reminders in one inbox. Search finds people and communities by name.
- One Avlory ID
- One sign-in for UpNext, Waverate and PennySphere, with each app keeping its own data.
Chats that stay between you.
Every message gets a fresh key on your phone, using the same method as Signal. The server passes sealed messages along, and only the people in the chat can open them.
Waiting for Friday? Start a game in the chat and take your turns whenever you both have a minute.
- Chess
- Checkers
- Line Four
- Drop Four
- Flip Grid
- Box Claim
- Hidden Fleet
- Sudoku Duo
- Letter Duel
- Word Sprint
- End-to-end encrypted
- Messages, the photos you send in a chat, and every game move.
- Message requests
- People you haven’t followed back arrive in Requests, and you choose who to talk to.
- Friends first for teens
- Teen accounts get direct messages from friends, and everything else waits in Requests.
Safe from the first day.
The same rules apply to everyone, and the protections are on from the start. Read the community guidelines.
- Nudity is blocked everywhere
- Photos and videos are checked for explicit content on your phone before they’re sent and again on the phone that receives them, so private chats stay clean too. Public posts are checked on our servers as well.
- Reports go to people
- Report a post, comment, profile, community or chat from the app, and the Avlory team reviews it. Posts with enough reports are hidden while a person looks.
- Teen protections
- UpNext is for ages 13 and up. Teen accounts start private, and friends can message them directly. Anyone who sends an explicit image in a chat with a teen has messaging paused until a person reviews it.
- AI is labelled
- AI content is welcome with an AI-made or AI-edited label, so you always know what you’re looking at.
Where UpNext is going.
We’re building UpNext in phases with the first people on it. What you tell us in the beta shapes each one. Dates come when each phase is ready.
Now: the beta
The social app on TestFlight for iPhone: posts, communities and events, encrypted chats with games, and the first Original Creators.
Next: stories, music and Android
Stories with stickers, music on your posts with Waverate’s vinyl player, captions on videos, more creator tools, and UpNext on Android.
Later: the creator market
A way to back the creators you believe in early and for creators to earn from their work on UpNext, for verified adults, run through PennySphere. It opens once its terms and its legal review are complete.
Get UpNext.

How do I get UpNext?
UpNext is on TestFlight, Apple’s beta app, by invite. Open your invite link on your iPhone to install it. The App Store and Android come later, and we’ll announce both here.
Do I need a new account?
Your Avlory ID works. If you use Waverate or PennySphere, sign in with the same one. New to Avlory? Create an ID in the app with an email, Google or Apple.
Who can read my messages?
The people in the chat. Messages, photos and game moves are end-to-end encrypted on your phone. If you report a chat, we see exactly what you choose to send with the report.
Can teens use UpNext?
Yes, from 13. Teen accounts start private, and friends can message them directly.
Is AI content allowed?
Yes, with a label. Mark a post AI-made or AI-edited when you post it, and everyone knows what they’re looking at. Anyone can report a post that needs a label.
Make things? Post first.
We’re inviting a small group of creators onto UpNext first. A person on the team reads every application.
