The method
- Each lesson has six parts: the idea, a worked example, why it was designed this way, Try it, Apply, and a short check.
- Practice sets and drills are there to practise. They're marked, never required.
- Every section has a Fix-it: something broken to find and fix. In code it's a bug; elsewhere it's a broken flowchart, a wrong query or a wrong worked answer.
- Each section ends with a check, and many courses end with an exam.
- In the Thinking courses, drills, labs and projects point three ways: at yourself, at the world and at real situations. Some of this practice opens once its tools are built.
