Engine marketplace · one storefront for every appComing soon

Publish What You Make.
Break Nothing.

One storefront across the Avlory Engine apps, where people publish what they make: free items, asset packages, paid items, items with a royalty split, and everything in between. Beats and stems from Sound, models and rigs from Sculpt, extensions for Pulse. Every upload is scanned for malware, and every add-on runs in a sandbox you can undo. Nothing is built yet; it comes right after Pulse and Sprout.

  • Windows
  • Linux
  • macOS
  • iOS
  • Android
All planned. It opens inside each Engine app, wherever that app runs.
01 · One storefront

Your app's section comes first.

Open the marketplace from an app and that app's section shows first, with its own kinds of items. One button shows everything, across every app.

  • Sound

Beats, stems, sample packs, instruments and presets.

  • Voice

Vocal chains, cleanup and tuning presets.

  • Sculpt

Models, materials, brushes and rigs, ready for Nebula games.

  • Pulse

Extensions, Flutter widget packages and the like.

  • Sprout

    Tools for your repositories.

  • Everything

One button shows the whole marketplace, every app at once.

There's no demo yet. When the marketplace runs, this page will show recordings of the real thing.

02 · Working together

Producers and artists, paid directly.

How a beat becomes a song, with everyone's share recorded once and paid to each person.

  1. A producer publishes

A beat or stems made in Sound, with its terms: free, paid, or a royalty split.

  2. An artist picks it

Both agree the split. It's saved with the song, so it goes wherever the song goes.

  3. The artist records

Vocals in Voice, on top of the beat.

  4. Released on WaveRate

The split is filled in, and WaveRate pays each person's share directly.

Also decided

  • Game makers use Sculpt assets in their Nebula games.
  • For samples, the artist sets the rate, from credit only to a percentage, and the person using it can send a counteroffer.

Not decided yet

  • How a split carries over when the song is also on Spotify, Apple Music and other services.
03 · Prices

Free where it should be. Your choice elsewhere.

Prices depend on the product and the kind of item. The marketplace itself is free and open source.

  • Pulse extensions

    Always free

    Every Pulse extension is free.

  • For Sprout public repositories

    Always free

Anything made for public repositories is free, like GitHub's and VS Code's extensions.

  • Everything else

    Maker's choice

The maker picks one of three, shown on every listing in words, not only colours.

    • Free use it in what you make
    • Paid a one-time price
    • Royalty split a share when your work earns

Publishing has to be simple. Avlory's fees are announced at launch.

04 · Safety

Checked on the way in. Every time.

Decided for every item, in every section.

  • Malware detection

    Planned

Every upload is scanned for malware, updates included.

  • Trusted publishers

    Planned

A trusted-publisher program, like VS Code's verified publishers, so you can see who made what.

  • Signed

    Planned

Every item is signed by its maker's verified Avlory ID.

  • Originals only

    Planned

Sounds are fingerprinted against known recordings, so nobody can sell someone else's.

05 · Guard rails

An add-on can't break your work.

Decided for add-ons in every Engine app, not only those from the marketplace.

  • Sandboxed

    Planned

An add-on runs apart from the app and reaches only what you allow, asked in plain words: "Read the open project", "Use the network".

  • Undo

    Planned

Every change an add-on makes goes through the app's normal undo, like your own edits.

  • Roll back

    Planned

A bad update rolls back to the version that worked.

  • Safe mode

    Planned

Start any app with every add-on off.

  • Conflict checks

    Planned

Two add-ons that want the same shortcut, file type or menu are caught before you install.

06 · Smart

Helpful, and private.

What the marketplace knows, and what it never looks at.

  • Suggestions on your device

    Planned

Made from what you're doing, never from your content, and worked out on your device.

  • Real numbers on listings

    Planned

Which app versions an item works with, and its real crash rate.

  • Tested bundles

    Planned

A set of items for one job, installed together and tested together.

  • Avlory's own file types

    Planned

Marketplace items get their own file types, with import and export, so nothing is locked in.

Status

Where the marketplace is today.

Coming soon. The concept is decided and nothing is built. It's next after Pulse and Sprout, which ship first.

Decided

  • One storefront for every Engine app; the app you open it from comes first.
  • Pulse extensions and items for Sprout public repositories are free; otherwise the maker chooses free, paid or a royalty split.
  • Royalty splits on WaveRate releases are paid directly.
  • Malware detection on every upload, and a trusted-publisher program.
  • Sandbox, undo, roll back, safe mode and conflict checks in every app.
  • The platform itself is free and open source.

Still open

  • Avlory's fees on paid and royalty items.
  • How splits carry over to services other than WaveRate.
  • Whether to build or reuse the malware scanner, and who reviews flagged items.
  • The names of the file types.
  • No feature moves up a tier

A saved project always opens and exports, even after a plan ends.

  • Never locked out offline

A failed licence check never stops editing or export.

  • AI never changes work silently

Every AI change is a visible, undoable suggestion in the AI ledger.

  • Free to start

Plans and prices are announced at launch. All the promises
